always

large apologies for lack of updating. enjoyed what seems to be the unofficial last hot day of the british summer today, twas lovely. then due to my recent bbc iplayer addiction, i was thrilled to be able to watch a single man. watch it. tis free and tom ford makes it beautiful. aline weber (above) features in it and she looks very bardot and wonderful and i instantaneously wished i too could backcomb my hair and wear black eyeliner everyday.

brilliant bertie

(colin firth, geoffrey rush & helena bonham carter)

tom hooper's the king's speech is just wonderful and so beautifully shot. i may not be quick off the mark, but i was finally able to see this magnificent film and it was totally worth the long wait. it is richly deserved of every award it has won and will win (i felt very proud watching the baftas). i hope to emulate bertie's and lionel's charming man-wear in some tiny little way. i am also (almost shamefully so) a british period drama enthusiast and i cannot wait to add this to my afternoon-film-watching collection.

maniac

 (flashdance)

the television brought me good evening viewing with this film last night. jennifer beal's maniac scene is banging, so much so, that when that song comes on when i am training, i turn into a crazy head shaking babe who too (probably should not) thinks she can move like that.

wonderfully heartbreaking

(natalie portman)

darren aronofsky's entrancing yet devastating black swan blew me away, it has not left me since (seriously, i didn't sleep a wink after and have been sporting a shexay panda face since). it was the first time i completely lost myself in a film, natalie portman was wonderful. i am completely in love with this film and it is definitely up there with hazza p himself.
