gosh, well i was completely spoilt for valentine's day. i was taken to a surprise dinner to locanda locatelli and further surprised with two tickets to paris and a fully planned itinerary. i literally did not talk for a good 40 minutes once i saw those shiny tickets, i've never had anything like this done for me. i'm actually a hater of v-day due to crappy previous v-days. anyway, i instagrammed most of the trip like the annoying tourist that i am, and is probs easiest to illustrate my wonderful weekend through those pictures. so here you are... my weekend in the gorgeous paris...

the surprise, champagne & cake on the eurostar, dinner at carré des feuillants, picnic lunch up the eiffel tower in 58 tour eiffel, poodling down the eiffel tower, my favourite snap of monsieur tower, the most exquisite ceiling in the musée du louvre, the superb view from le georges, drinks at buddha bar, beautiful bottles at hermés, our breakfast room in the delightful radisson blu le dokhan's hotel, the snazzy teeny lift in the hotel, being a tourist in montmarte, chap choosing lunch at le cinq in the four seasons george v hotel, one of the many bunches of flower at the four seasons, interior inspo wall carvings in the museé d'orsay, macaroons and tea at ladurée and finally, a lovely sunset at les jardin des tuileries to end our splendid weekend.

marbs

i literally have zero pictures of myself from last week in marbs (which pleases me greatly) but i did find these few i took by the harbour one evening. i'm afraid i did not see any towie types which i presumed would be some kind of tourist attraction, but there were many a wannabe. i'm not all too sure i can sit myself by a pool in a diamante monokini in full make up in the heat, but full respect to those girls who can. give me an easy bikini, factor 15 (body) and factor 30 (face), a bottle of evian and an ice lolly of some kind and i'm happy as pie.

our one and only proper excursion was to the harbour. the sunset made it all seem all quite beautiful.

so only one of the holiday objectives was completed, which was my one to get the boy and i brown. the boy however failed on his objective to get me fit, quite the opposite happened and my jeans are snug. horribly so. anyway, instead of scaring you all away with my blubba unnecessarily modelling it, i still wanted to share my favourite bikini from the holiday. i love it for four reasons; firstly it is ruffled and makes my little boobs look less teenage boy like (but without the ghastly over-padding you can get in some gilly bikini's, i have nothing so there really is no point trying to pretend), secondly i can tie the bottoms to whatever size a may have fluctuated to throughout the holiday, thirdly it is a triangle top which allows perfect tanning with the least amount of white triangles when both ties are tied around the back, and lastly i am in in love with the print. i have actually started to collect this bikini in different colour ways and it is a habit i must break.

holiday to north cyprus in a nutshell: copious amounts of wonderful sun, moving room three times (was really very comical), being attacked by cockroaches through the air con (this was the better third room), eating far too much room service on the balcony with the boy, reading marian keyes, madeleine wickham and elle, getting lost in a rather terrifying area (the boy was pretty darn scared) and eating kebabs. everyday. regardless of the holiday being some what a complete and utter shambles, it was just wonderful to get away and some decent spend time together. i absolutely do not recommend north cyprus and certainly not our hotel but the sun is amazing and having ten days out of normality was blissful.

(miss selfridge playsuit, madinat jumeirah resort)

had evening cocktails before we left lovely hot dubai at the madinat jumeirah, which by the way is absolutely beautiful. totes my kind of hotel and has totes warped any normal standards i may of had of my holiday accommodation (boy take note). the waiting staff had a laugh on my expense when they id'd me as they had decided, and i quote, that i was "fifteen years old". this age mistaking shizzle is turning into a worldwide epidemic, i was already speechless at being id'd at ze supermarket for buying my baby brother a birthday scratch card two weeks ago. sigh. not sure my favouritist playsuit is doing all too much for my grand old twenty two years.

had dinner under another burj last night whilst watching the fountains, they are quite spectacular. just had my morning porridge to fuel me for vital sun bathing time. nom.

had a lovely day eating lunch by the beach and lazing in a hut under this little sail. need to now go and work on my (very slowly darkening) tan (i cannot return the horrible pale being i was).
