saint valentine's day

so it is the day where we must express our love through present buying, and i have used the day to my advantage to get the boy items of clothing (i did soppy last year) that i'm hoping/going to borrow. i'm not a big fan of flowers in their physical form, but love a pretty picture so thought i'd share with you some previous flowers he kindly once gave to me.

better the devil

(antipodium autumn/winter 2010 via asos)

i am a total sucker for playsuits, and after refusing a christmas present from the boy (i am a little picky) i have been waiting for something lovely to crop up for him to celebrate jesus' birth with. i presume/am certain that erdem is to blame, but he did say, and i quote, "buy buy buy" to this flowery beaut (and laughed at the erdem hints). a tad cheaper alternative (sale baby) but nonetheless good enough to have a fanciful picnic in.

cake monster

(fiona cairns cakes)

these are my favourite fairy cakes in the entire world (i am quite the cake addict), much better than cupcakes and so lovely and british. i couldn't help but grab a pack when i saw all the pretty valentine's fiona cairns boxes in selfridges, and treated the brothers to some sibling love in the form of a wonderful sugar overdose.

babes

seduction

(ed van der elsken, 'love on the left bank' published by dewi lewis, article found in the guardian culture)

these pictures are so sexy, so french and now all i want to do is to be sipping a cappuccino in le marais or having a glass of red wine in st germain. note to K: book holiday asap so we can mirror the two babes in the cafe.

marvelous

the liberty magazine is just so wonderful. pelicans, teapots & cups with legs, smashing illustrations (i thought i'd highlight the k & s for obvious reasons)... it makes me even more excited for fanciful summer fun.
