and here is part two of the order. my little rocco baby is a tad battered, i've used it consistently every single day since i bought it (i'm not so great at bag alternation) and i thought he should get a bit of time off. and so i've been searching for a barrel bag that was similar but not too similar. checklist was as follows - black (any other coloured bags and i are like any other coloured bags with babies armed with pens), hard-wearing, grainy leather (easier to be less kind to), multi-carry option (short handles + long strap) and obviously it had to be very handsome. i've been keen on the givenchy antigona in the grainy leather but it looked so pristine i was scared i'd destroy it, and also the medium céline boston (i'm still pretty sure that i might have to save up for him. too yummy to dismiss). anyway, i found this beaut at burberry and knew she was the one. it's a mix of canvas with suede (the all leather wouldn't last my non-gentleness) and it's just so wonderful. i nearly cried with happiness when my 1.5 litre bottle of evian fitted in even better than it did in rocco. i'm still in the honeymoon phase and am quite happy and sure knowing it will take a while to get out of.

eek, time to whip out my christmas jumper collection. most impressed with love clothing's take on my favourite ugly companion, a decent selection (so we can all wear different ones and still look cool) and at a decent price. win win.

tis the season

due to having an actual real life job now, christmassy fun for me this year has been quite non-existent. i tried to jazz up and christmasfy my flat up, but without being back in cambridge buying 13ft trees with my baby bro, it just doesn't feel the same. anyway, the london answer to festive fun is winter wonderland. i went along last night for the second time and it kind of does the trick. due to being in a food coma from muriel's, i obvs saved dollar avoiding purchasing the overpriced food. it is kind of like christmas instagram heaven, and i actually had a lol in the bavarian village where the ultra-snazzy german dj played gangham style and the ground shook from (drunk) merry goers. the lack of festive music meant i was able to come home and play my favourite christmas shiz till bed time. wonderful.

bond & brook

had the most wonderful saturday yesterday with the lovely tash of the house of scarlet, who invited me to go and gorge on food with her at the delightful bond & brook (located on the second floor at fenwick in mayfair). everything about it really was really quite beautiful. i got a wee bit obsessed with the menu (visually - layout and that), but the food was the winner of it all. break down of our consumption is as follows - we had champagne to start (obvs), hummus and flatbread to nibble on (amaze), followed by four of their larger-canapes pick'n'mix style tapas (which included venison, pea & ham quiche, lobster and hallouimi - again, amaze), for our mains tash had steak and i had cod (we were both very satisfied) and because if there is a scone on the menu, i have to have it, we nibbled on scones (with cocktails - no need for tea today) and rubbed our food bellies most contently. the atmosphere was not stuffy, a little warm (i got rosy cheeks - possibly/definitely the alcohol) but a wonderful place to escape oxford street/mayfair shopping. looking forward to returning to try out their afternoon tea in all its glory.

this series of photographs is stunning. alexander james manipulates the roses then grows and photographs them underwater. there is no post-production inolved, pretty impressive huh?
